Indiana Minority Health Coalition is a statewide agency that addresses health disparities, chronic health conditions and policy matters that disproportionately impact minorities. This is done through core central office staff and network of IMHC funded Community based coalitiions and affiliates. Through the foresight of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus, Indiana has the unique minority health initiative statue under which the state is obligated to fund IMHC to support and develop a local network of minority coalitions that reach, touch and serve minority communities with superior services and excellent advocacy. As the only organization of it kind in the country, IMHC has become a citizen voice for minority health improvement in Indiana and the United States.
